Little Planets is excited to offer childcare for families attending The Festy Experience! Childcare is available in 2 hour blocks for children 2 and over. Potty training is not required. Our childcare area supervisors are experienced childcare professionals with CPR and First Aid certification. Our childcare staff are experienced caregivers (and parents!) with completed nationwide criminal and sex offender background checks. The Little Planets kids area will include plenty of fun toys, activities, and programming. We will make sure your little ones have as much fun as you do at Festy!

My family has been in Charlottesville since 2012. Before moving to Virginia from Florida, I was an elementary school teacher in grades 3-5 and was also a children's librarian. I believe that young children thrive when they are able to investigate, explore, and experience life and especially nature in a playful and open ended way. I have three active boys and I am a Tinkergarten classroom leader in my area. I'm very excited to work with Little Planets!

Educated in both the fine arts and technical theater design, Megan has consistently been on the execution side, having spent most of her time designing and directing for professional theater companies, building installation art, and choreographing dance and performance art in New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Hawaii, and now, Virginia. Doing far more teaching in the recent years, Megan has engaged a wide range of youth -- from preschool to college -- in studio arts, puppetry, dance, violin, and theater. Living here for the past six years, she's ferociously involved in the International Rescue Committee, Live Arts, and Charlottesville's absolutely fantastic art and dance scene.
