Benefits of Essential Oils:
Essential oils have been in use for thousands of years. The first and primary
benefit of essential oil is its capacity to produce a healing effect to both the
mind and body. It is said that essential oils are more beneficial and effective
than the botanical plant from which it is extracted.
Proper precaution is a must when choosing the best essential oil for children
and families. According to experts Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young, the
skin of a newborn and infant are less equipped to the adverse effects of
essential oils.

The use of essential oils must be avoided for children below six months old.
This is due to the fact that they have thinner and more sensitive skin. It can
possibly damage their immune system as their body is not yet mature.
There are useful accessories in GotOilSupplies.com that you can use along
with your favorite essential oils below.
Essential Oils and Their Uses:
- For achy and sore muscles, essential oils such as Basil linalool, Black
pepper, Chamomile and Copaiba balsam can be used. Aside from their
capacity to relieve sore muscles, these oils also come with an aromatic
smell which is attractive to children. These oils also produce a relaxing
effect on the body.
- Other essential oils which can be used by children include: Pine,
Lemon, Citronella, Cinnamon leaf and Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Oregano
and Sweet Marjoram. A maximum of three to five drops of these oils
would be the recommended dose. Proper dilution must also be
observed as it may cause skin irritation if applied directly. Massage
these oils onto their chest, back and to the toes. This boosts its
efficacy.
- If you are aiming to boost the immune system, there are essential oils
that would serve this purpose well, and can be used by both adults as
well as children. One example is the Lemon essential oil. Keep in mind
that this has the maximum topical use of 2%. About four drops of this
oil shall only be used at a time.

drops of lavender to a tablespoon of coconut oil and gently massage it
all over your skin. It can also be used before bedtime as it relaxes and
calms the body. A small drop of lavender oil on a pillow can produce
better sleep and easier sleep. This is great if you or your children have
been experiencing insomnia or simply find it hard to fall asleep after a
long day.
- Essential oils can also help uplift our energy. Some oils like Wild
Orange, Grapefruit, Peppermint, and Lemon can increase our mental
alertness. These oils can also be diffused and be used for the house.
You can use them on a cleaner spray and bring their beneficial

not around when diffusing oils in order to avoid possible adverse
effects.

Lavender and tea tree oil are my favorites! I love to add lavender to my dryer balls especially when drying my sheets and pillow cases. :)
